Deleting “My Option Care Health” Portal Account

How to delete my Portal Account?

To request the deletion of your My Option Care Health portal account, please open the Messaging widget located on the HOME page, bottom-right, and select the topic “Delete Portal Account”. You may enter an accompanying message, such as an Effective Date for the deletion of your account, and then click ‘Send’ to submit your request.

Your My Option Care Health portal login credentials will be revoked, and the portal access to your patient account will be fully removed in 1-2 business days. You will receive an email notification when your portal account has been fully removed.

 

What is deleted?

The deletion of your portal account disables the ability for you or anyone else to see or manage your personal health care information that is maintained by Option Care Health via the “My Option Care Health” portal application, from any device, via any method, including direct website URL or a downloaded mobile application.

If you are the patient, and there are other persons, caregivers or family members, to whom you have granted access to your “My Option Care Health” portal account, their portal accounts will also be deleted.

 

What is not deleted?

All of your health care data that exists in the Option Care Health systems, necessary to continue your care and ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations pertaining to patient data, will be retained in the Option Care Health system’s.

Any messages that you had previously exchanged with Option Care Health, using the “My Option Care Health” portal application’s messaging feature, will be retained in the Option Care Health systems.

All previous history of Notifications generated to your “My Option Care health” portal application will be retained in the Option Care Health systems.

All previous history of your portal application accesses, including login dates and times, and the pages accessed, will be retained in the Option Care Health systems.

 

Can I create another portal account later?

Yes, it is possible to reinstate your portal access account, at any time, after previously choosing to delete it, by completing the “Request an Account” Registration process, accessible by clicking the “Request Account” button that is located on the “My Option Care Health” portal application login page.
